Ingredients:
½ or 1 whole fresh ham
salt
12 cloves of garlic
2 pieces of whole apples
1 onion (large)
1 carrot
black pepper
2 to 3 cups of water
slices of pineapple
1/3 cup of brown sugar

For the sauce:
1 tsp. of corn starch
1/3 cup of Pepsi cola
¼ cup of pineapple juice

Procedure:

First, wash the half or whole ham thoroughly.

After which, spread salt all over the ham. Make sure that all sides have salt to make it really tasty.

To add more taste, place cloves of garlic in and out of the ham. The number of cloves of garlic depends on the size of the ham.

You can then set this aside and place it in the refrigerator for a few hours.

Peel the skin of the apples and slice them. After which, add them to the roaster, together with the ham.

Chop the onion and carrot. Add these also to the roaster, along with the black pepper and 2 to 3 cups of water. Check the water level from time to time to maintain its level. Add water if needed.

Cover the roaster with tin foil and place it inside the preheated oven. For about 2 to 3 hours, bake the ham at 375 degrees F. The time of baking depends on the size of ham.

For every half hour intervals, turn the ham over on the pan while baking.

In the last hour of baking, put a number of pineapple slices on the ham and add the brown sugar all over the meat.

Continue baking until meat becomes tender.

For the sauce of the ham, use the juices left in the pan. Add in the corn starch, pineapple juice and cola. In low heat, let the mixture boil. If the sauce thickens, you can then pour it all over the baked ham.
